Junior VV Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Site Verification & Validation Engineer to join its teams in Chieti or Venegono within the Digital Product & Platform Engineering Department.

Mission

Rina is looking for a Verification & Validation Engineer in VENEGONO or CHIETI focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and verification activities. You will work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop test plans, and execute test cases to validate software functionality and performance. The ideal candidate has a good background in software verification and testing methodologies, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Accountabilities

-Perform functional and integration tests on satellite receivers.
-Verify the correct functioning of satellite signal reception and decoding functions.
-Test device firmware and software updates.
-Reproduce and document bugs and malfunctions.
-Create test reports and technical documentation.
-Collaborate with development, integration, and product management teams to resolve issues.
-Perform regression testing after software or firmware changes.akeholders.

Qualifications

Required

-Knowledge of standard DO – 178
-Experience in software testing
-Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or similar)
-Ability to write test cases and test reports
-Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
-Experience with automated testing or scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
-Knowledge of the digital broadcast ecosystem
Soft Skills
-Precision and attention to detail
-Ability to work in a team
-Methodical approach to testing
-Good organizational skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Other
Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering
