Key Accountabilities

Metocean Data Analysis:
– Collect, process, and analyze meteorological and oceanographic data from various sources, including satellites, buoys, and numerical models.
– Evaluate parameters such as wind speed, wave height, current velocity, water temperature, and sea state to characterize metocean conditions in offshore and nearshore areas.
Metocean Criteria Development:
– Develop metocean criteria and design parameters tailored to specific offshore projects, considering factors such as site location, water depth, environmental conditions, and project requirements.
– Define design criteria for wind, waves, currents, sea ice, and other metocean variables to ensure the structural integrity and operational safety of offshore and nearshore installations.
Metocean Data Analysis:
– Collect, process, and analyze meteorological and oceanographic data from various sources under supervision.
– Assist in evaluating parameters such as wind speed, wave height, current velocity, water temperature, and sea state.
Metocean Criteria Development:
– Support the development of metocean criteria and design parameters based on established methodologies.
– Assist in defining basic design criteria for wind, waves, currents, and sea ice.
Metocean Risk Assessment:
– Assist in conducting basic metocean risk assessments and contribute to identifying potential hazards and risks.
Metocean Monitoring and Forecasting:
– Support the implementation of metocean monitoring programs and basic forecasting tasks.
Technical Reporting and Documentation:
– Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation under guidance.
Regulatory Compliance:
