Hardware Design Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Hardware Design Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.​

Mission

The role has strong electronic background and focuses on contributing to preparing detailed project documentation, technical proposal, and participating in technical reviews with customers. 

Key Accountabilities

Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation based on RTCA DO-254 lifecycle, including technical data packages, production packages, test requirements and test procedures;
  • ensure all documentation meets industry standards and customer requirements;
  • prepare technical proposals based on client technical specifications, gathering all the necessary information autonomously. 

Hardware design: 

  • Design of electronic boards;
  • validate design performance and reliability, integration and testing activities;
  • address customer enquiries and use the feedback to improve the documentation and the design. 

Education

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering

Qualifications

  • A positive evaluation is given to a minimal amount of experience in technical documentation and hardware design, especially in aerospace applications;
  • good knowledge and understanding of RTCA DO-254;
  • proficiency in designing electronic boards;
  • (optional) experience in FPGA synthesis (Verilog, VHDL) and FPGA simulation (ModelSim, VCS) is positively evaluated.
