HSSE Officer Naples

Position Purpose

– Carry out the operations of HSSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety, Environmental and Security management by providing technical support, in compliance with current local legislation, company directives, and the Petronas Technical Standards.

– Develops, directs, and coordinates planning, organization, and implementation of environmental, health, and safety risk assessment programs to assure that management takes actions needed to raise both employee’s safety and equipment.

– Facilitate incidents management and investigation.

 

Key Accountabilities:

The holder of the position serves as the Head of “Prevention and Protection service” of the plant, fulfilling, according to the dictates of art. 33 of Legislative Decree 81/08, the following tasks:

a) identification of hazards, risk factors, risk assessment and identification of measures for the safety and healthiness of the workplace, in accordance with current legislation on the basis of specific knowledge of the business organization;

b) support the development, falling within its remit, preventive and protective measures under Article 28, paragraph 2, of Legislative Decree 81/08 and the control systems of these measures.

c) support the procedures development / operating instructions for the various operational activities (related to the assessment process);

d) propose programs of information and training of workers;

e) Participate in consultations concerning the protection of health and safety at work, as well as the regular HSSE meeting under Article 35 of Legislative Decree 81/08;

f) Provide to workers the required information specified in Article 36 of Legislative Decree 81/08.

 

Communication and Working Relationship (Internal/External):

External – HSSE Authorities, consultancy and HSSE external providers.

Internal – All the functions.

 

Qualifications & Education:

– Degree in safety management, environmental sciences, engineering or Master of Safety and Risk Analysis Engineering.

– Minimum “nuovo Accordo Stato Regioni del 7 luglio 2016” training.

– Relevant experience in an industrial services organization or oil and gas sector would be preferable.

 

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

– Minimum 5 years of experience in position of HSSE department

– Contemporary and leading-edge knowledge and expertise of HSSE management (strategic and operational) practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the group

– Sound knowledge of HSSE legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the group

– Fluency in English is essential

– HSE auditing qualification (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)

– Analytical, interpretative and strong decision-making skills

– Working knowledge of HSSE Management Systems

– Excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills and analytical skills

– Strong leadership, focus and team work attitude
