GRID CONNECTION SPECIALIST

1. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Support the pipeline growth bringing Grid constraints/opportunities point of view.
– Analyze the system development plan of the Italian grid to provide intel about market opportunities.
– Analyze the integrated text of the technical and economic conditions for connection to electricity grids with the obligation to connect third parties to electricity generation plants (TICA), the Italian Grid Code and any other applicable standard or technical regulation (CEI, Enel, etc.) to drive the development of the projects for the future correct and effective construction, connections and operation and maintenance of the plants.
– Support Iberdrola analysis of new opportunities providing insights about the feasibility of the grid connection solutions presented by the external promoters.
– Liaise with the relevant stakeholders like Terna, Enel and any other DSO to ensure Iberdrola Italia position is clear and sufficiently explained in any claim or technical request.
– Analyze and supervise STMG, STMD, any grid technical study and the engineering of the grid electrical infrastructures, participate to and lead, if the case may be, the TSO technical table for the engineering and permitting of the interconnection facilities.
– Assure all the grid connection process steps (i.e. Gaudi, RDE, ADM..) in order to achieve the plant connection according to the Italian grid regulation and the Annex of the Grid Code (TSO, DSO regulation).
– Maintain technical and commercial discussion with TSO and DSO with the aim of optimizing Iberdrola’s projects during the development phase and providing any needed support during the whole construction phase up to the COD.
– Supervise specific activities conducted by providers that may affect the final connection of projects under construction.
– Support the implementation of new trends, from a connection perspective, like batteries, hybrid solutions, etc. that could be considered for the pipeline.
– Lead electrical Due Diligence processes, coordinating external consultants and internal support teams.
2. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
– Electrical Engineering (specialty in Energy) or equivalent University Degree.
