In the framework of Solvency II, we are currently seeking a Junior Actuary to strengthen the Risk Modelling Framework that is accountable to:

  • Support Group CRO on the Internal Model and Standard Formula quantitative aspects both related with Pillar I and Pillar II of Solvency II regime

  • Feed, monitor and report the IM simulations, monitoring the whole calculation process

  • Review and analyzed Group and Local results supporting top management for strategic decisions

  • Support the BUs in assessing and monitoring the local risk profile and related risk based measures

  • Asses and monitor the overall SCR of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. solo entity

The Junior Actuary will support the Middle Manager and the Head of Risk Modelling Framework for the Business Review and challenge of the Internal Model results of the different Legal Entities. S/He will support the middle manager in the developing and maintenance of the Internal Model execution, as well as in ensuring proper on time delivery of results for both internal and regulatory compliance.

The resource will perform complex activities ranging from process organization, review and challenge of the local results, reporting outcomes to the manager as well as the other senior actuaries in order to provide evidences at support of the Group Results movements explanation.

The main tasks are to:

  • Contribute to monitor, review and challenge Local Units in terms of local SCR results and contribution to the Group consolidation

  • Prepare, calculate and report AG SpA SCR and relevant regulatory documentation (contribution to ORSA, RSR, SFCR, QRTs)

  • Produce and report the Profit & Loss Attribution of Group and AG SpA as well as coordinate the activity at global level

  • Coordinate in the GRM function and report the outcomes of yearly EIOPA Stress Testing

  • Support the team with detailed actuarial analyses such to better explain SCR movements under sensitivities and what if analyses

  • Support the team in the eventual annual IMAP process

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have

  • Bachelor and Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Sciences or Mathematics

  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and their application

  • Knowledge and experience in Montecarlo Simulation techniques, correlations and aggregation of risks

  • Previous knowledge and/or experience on financial aspects (Market Value Balance Sheet, Investments types, main financial pricing techniques)

  • Knowledge of Insurance and Financial business processes, and industry best practices and regulatory requirements for risk management, with particular focus on Solvency II regime

  • Knowledge of Insurance products and underwriting modelling

  • English fluency for presenting and writing

  • Solid and enhanced use of Microsoft Office suite, VBA and R

Nice to have

  • Italian language basic skills

  • Other European foreign language such as French, German, Spanish

  • Good knowledge of one of the following: Prophet, Moses, Matlab
